Battle of the Borough fight news.

With a sell out crowed and huge support from Coventry's boxing community, on the 28th of Febuary Oli took on 24 year old Harrison Coulle from Nuneaton at the sky blue connection in Ryton.

Going into the fight Oli was confident of the win. "I've trained really hard for this fight and I'm definitely more poweful"

Round 1, was an Oli Clews round with the whole arena not thinking the opponent was going to even make it to his corner ! Round two saw Harrison make a bit of a comeback but only in the second minute. Oli complained in his corner of not being able to really get his feet moving. Round 3 was an Oli Clews win but despite a perfect fight camp training with some excellent boxers Oli admitted to have "heavy legs" in the corner. Round 4 was very close with Harrison landing some shots but nothing with any power.

The fight was close but the Clews camp, supporters and 1 of the 3 judges gave the fight to Oli. Sadly though, this was to be his first loss ! "I was catching him with all the big shots, I thought I'd won ! His shots had no impact on me, but he's got a chin, fair play I'll give him that"

Very few people win everything, Oli has had an amazing run so far and has taken the loss very well, mainly as his fans and onlookers genuinely thought he'd won.

It was the closest fight for Oli so far, he's a better more powerful boxer but on the night it wasn't to be, watch the video see what you think.
