Take a look into the story behind Oli holding 1 belt, winning 4 fights and getting robbed with a draw in Stoke on Trent.

Oli Clews started his journey at toe to toe Boxing club in Canley Coventry, "they had a good junior thing for lads just wanting to have a go and get in the ring" Oli partnered up with trainer Mark O Hagan for one two one help but to achieve a good level of sparing, went to Gavin Jones's Exhall Boxing Academy where Oli trained with regional & national level boxing talent.

Fight one

Billy knight, a seasoned journey-man and regular fighter on the circuit came to challenge Oli in front of a packed crowd in Coventry. "after the first few seconds I knew I was going to beat him" And he did, with a powerful uppercut in the 3rd round.

Fight Two

Sean Pitchford, A last minute stand in with the original fighter pulling out lasted no more than 40 seconds with yet another crippling upper cut.

Fight Three

Jack Barrs, This was Oli's first 5 round fight and one of only three that night in the Stoke on Trent arena with the boxers having gloves on......A big promotion called Bad to the bone (One of Britain's bigger Bare Knuckle fights promo's) had invited the 76kg boxer from Coventry to challenge there local hero. After 5 gruelling rounds and some extremely biased refereeing Oli walked away with a draw ! Not what the team wanted but there was an obvious winner that night, It just wasn't to be. The opponents team actually apologised which Said it all !

Fight four

The performance of this boxer means he doesn't deserve to even have his name mentioned ! A terrible performance which resulted in him taking two shots in the first few seconds putting him on the canvas ! "I could have won that without even training for it, the guys a joke"

Fight five

Pete Mulvey, Oli's first chance to win a belt in front of a packed MD Promotions crowd. A seasoned journeyman with over 100 fight's to his name ! this guy was going to be tough and he was !

Oli started fast but this was definitely his toughest test with the older man just taking the pressure. Round two Oli connected with a crippling body shot dropping the Birmingham man. It was pretty much one way from there on but was certainly the toughest opponent to date. "its just a great feeling to get the win and wear a belt for the first time"
